White Dolphin

By Gill Lewis

A wildlife nail-biting adventure, told through Kara who is passionate about the environment.
Kara and Felix can't stand each other but as they work together to save a stranded injured dolphin they become great friends.  Together they set out to find the truth behind the disappearance of Kara's marine biologist mother, and to protect the reef in the bay of their home town from the destruction of commercial dredging.

  1. I was so excited when we got are first book the White Dolphin but it was a big disopointment when I got into it.I really didn't emjoy it. It is all about this girl who gets bullied a little bit.she gets cross and kicks someone in the nose.Hope you enjoy it a bit more than me.

  2. The White Dolphin is quite a slow starter but I really enjoyed it [unlike the other people at school] it is also a very moving book and it actually made me cry at one point :( I would reccomend it to people but this is a book which is not for the weak-hearted. Overall I really loved it I would give it a 9/10. :)

  3. The ' White Dolphin ' is not a very exciting book. It was moving and very, very,VERY slow. The whole story is about a young girl who finds a dolphin dying on th shore. She has a boat called Moana and a very ratty cousin. Overall I would only give 'The White Dolphin' a 4 out of ten. I would reccomend this to hard faced people. :)

  4. The 'White Dolphin' is a moving book told by Kara, the main character who has lost her mother. They are struggling through debt yet Kara, who is 11, seems not to care. My favourite character is Felix because I like how he changes as the book unfolds. I don't like this book a lot as it takes forever to get going and there is not enough action. Although, when it happens , it is very exciting. There wasn't much description but in a way I like it like this as your imagination can really get to work. It has a good plot with a nice ending and my advice is to read it all before judging it! It does get better! 5/10
