Four Children and It

By Jacqueline Wilson

Rosalind and Robbie are not happy about spending summer in their dad's new house with irritating Smash, their stepsister and her glamorous mum. But Dad just wants everyone to get along, and suggests a picnic in nearby Oxshott woods. The four children (not forgetting Maudie the baby of the family who everybody loves) grudgingly agree to go and there begins their adventure. On discovering a magical sand fairy in a golden sandpit, something very extraordinary begins to happen! Can wishes really come true?

  1. This book is based on "Five children and it" by E. Nesbit, which I loved when I was young. Does anyone think this book is as good, or better?

    1. This book is very interesting but quite hard to read. I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely recommend it.

    2. I think it was better because Jaquline Wilson has taken inspiration from her own childhood as well as using E. Nesbit's ideas!

This book was very interesting to read and and I loved the part when Maudie wanted more ice cream!!!!!
Olivia is my favorite character because she is kind and thoughtful to her family....
Smash is quite an unusual character and I felt a little sorry for her when Pssammad gave her a wish at the O2 arena and it was all spoilt...
I like Robbie how he is quite shy but strong and loving inside and his animals are cute.....

I'd give it a 10/10 for anyone to read!!
