The Will to Live

By Tanya Landman

This is the tenth in the Poppy Fields mysteries. Poppy and Graham are staying at Coldean Manor country house for a family christening party. Things seem quite boring until a tramp is discovered dead in the churchyard. Poppy uncovers some amazing family secrets in this young detective read. Pure Agatha Christie for kids!

  1. I loved this mystery story -it had a dead body, relatives who have mysteriously disappeared, and a murderer loose in the house where the family is trapped by a storm. The plot was really exciting and kept me guessing until the very end.

  2. I didn't enjoy this book because it was too gory and full of violence and that isn't my kind of thing :( but if you are into this sort of thing then you will really enjoy this book. :) .

  3. This book is one of the best books in the series and the best book so far... definitely. The mystery is incredible and you can tell the author is extremely skilled and has an incredible imagination because it keeps you in suspense until the very end. I do agree with others that it is rather (huge understatement) gory and I would NOT recommend it for the weak hearted. Overall I would give it 10/10 and an A grade. Also it has everything (description ect) that makes a good story better.
